Quality Control at is simplest is the process of insuring the product delivered to the customer meets or exceeds expectations. In reality the business of Quality Control is an involved process where the entrepreneur or corporate manager must interact with their customer to:

• Determine the customer's requirements.
• Ask for feedback on the products delivered.
• Improve the product.
• Repeat the process for all products new and old on an ongoing basis.

To insure the customer's requirements are being met the entrepreneur or the corporate manager must also maintain a relationship with the suppliers of the raw materials. That relationship is similar to the businesses relationship with the customer. Now the roles are reversed. The entrepreneur or corporate manager must:

• Describe in detail the raw material requirements.
• Monitor the incoming raw material for compliance to requirements.
• Report back to the supplier the results of the monitor.
• Require better product.
• Repeat the process for all products new and old on an ongoing basis.
  

Simple enough, all the business must do is just communicate. Communication is much more difficult that one might expect. To communicate effectively both parties must have a mutual respect for one another. There can be no hidden agendas in the conversation.

The original negotiations must be made with a win-win attitude. In this way all future negotiations will be made based upon trust. A continual stream of business is possible when there is mutual respect between customer and supplier.
